Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 July 2026

Jura (“we”) is a sailing logbook app operated by Galen Humber. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Account. Your email address (via Sign in with Apple or email).
  • Your logbook data. Trips, GPS tracks and positions you record, voyages, havens/anchorages, engine hours and maintenance records, and photos and videos you add.
  • Minimal technical data needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

Solely to provide the logbook — storing your entries, drawing your maps and stats, syncing across your devices, and (if you choose) publishing a public logbook. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party ad tracking.

Where it’s stored

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL database + file storage, hosted in Canada, ca-central-1) and served through Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, and email).

Third parties we use

Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Cloudflare (application hosting, CDN, and transactional email sending), and Apple (Sign in with Apple, and TestFlight for beta distribution). These process data only to provide the service.

Sharing & publishing

Your logbook is private by default. Content becomes visible to others only if you explicitly make a trip or logbook public, or generate a share link.

Email we send

Transactional email only — a welcome message, beta-access notices, and the optional passage digest you opt into. Sent via Cloudflare Email Sending from the juralog.app domain.

Your choices & rights

You can view, edit, and delete your entries in the app, and you can request full deletion of your account and associated data by contacting [email protected]. We keep your data until you delete it or your account.

Children

Jura is not directed at children under 13.
